Art students, Carol-Ann Palmieri and Amanda Baldi, were collectively awarded the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons for their artworks in the Drawing category at The Norwood Art Association’s, Art in the Park Show event on June 7, 2013.  Carol-Ann’s charcoal drawing, “Crane With Plate”, won the Blue Ribbon, and both Amanda’s charcoal drawings, “Little Boy” and “Woman In Vogue”, respectively took the 2nd and 3rd place ribbons. Distinguished Boston artist, Dan McCole was the show’s juror. Both artists currently study drawing and oil painting under Rosemarie Morelli and are well on their way to learning the techniques of classical realism. The charcoal drawings are a pre-requisite part of their training to learning to oil paint in the traditional methods of the french academy masters. Congratulations Carol-Ann and Amanda on your beautiful work – you earned it!!!
